Minus one formula for President Zardari

Since President Zardari took over, it was thought that he will be a changed person due to his long detention in prison and association with late Benazir Bhutto. Everything he has done since taking over reins of the power are in contradiction of the very basic democratic norms in a civilized society.

He appointed judges to superior judiciary who have a criminal background and also have bad reputation in the country. He made blunder by curbing the expression of news and ordered blocking of transmission of major independent TV channels like Geo TV and Royal TV. His government has made whole of the country as a prison and there are worst restricions on free movement of citizen in the country. Police is encroaching on privacy of citizen and making arrests on large scales. People are being put in jail without any charge. Women are dragged on roads by police and children have been frightened by barbaric acts of police and Zardari mafia. These are shameful acts of a so called democratic party and government.

President Zardari is scared of a free and independent judiciary as he has numerous corruption and murdercharges agianst him which were pardoned through NRO by dictator Musharaff. Legal experts say that there can be no pardon for corruption chrages so this is the reason of Zardari's dilemma.

Zardari government have paralysed whole of the country and businesses have been damaged. Goods transport is under seige and public transportation has been forcefully removed from roads and streets by the administration. Patients can not get to hospitals and children are confined to their homes and denied to attend schools, colleges and universities.

Trailers and containers have been stolen by the Zardari government and goods worth billions of dollars are in these containers and traders and businesses have come to stand still.

Can Pakistan afford all this mess? Answer is simple NO. How to get out of this situation? Consensus is to remove President Zardari from power as he has a mindset totally against democratic norms and traditions. He has proved to be a hurdle in restoration of free and independent judiciary. A firm belief has developed in the country that "minus one" formula must be applied on Zardari himself. Pakistan cannot afford an arrogant and undemocratic person like President Zardari as their Head of State.

  1. Zardari is becoming alone with everyday passing due to his policies and handling of political issues. He has a problem as he prefers friendships over national issues. he has gathered a bunch of unelected advisors who have their own vested interests.

Stalwarts like Sherry rehman, Razza Rabbani, Anwar Baig and many others have resigned from PPP due toZardari's arrogance.
